Working in Partnership with Our Local Community
We want our children to feel a connection to their local community and take an active role in supporting and contributing towards it.
At Monkey Puzzle we support children to develop an awareness of their place in the local community through regular outings which see the children supporting local businesses such as book shops, cafes and grocery stores as well as visiting public spaces including the parks and library. These outings contribute greatly to improving the children’s learning environment as well as enriching children’s learning experiences.
We also have close links with partners that enhance children’s learning successfully.
One of our local partners are children’s author & illustrator Wendy Gallagher and Margaret Andrews (a mother and daughter team). Their series of Pink Patsy books carry profound messages of compassion and environmental stewardship.
We have worked in partnership to deliver story telling events including meet the authors, stone painting, adventure trail and much more.
We are always looking to build collaborations with like-minded individuals, organisations or businesses with the aim of enhancing learning opportunities and outcomes for children.
